Greed

Greed is one of the seven deadly sins and a mini-boss that can be found randomly on any floor in Shops and Secret Rooms exclusively. He normally attacks by firing cones of shots at the player or spawning Hoppers to aid him. In Revelation floors however, his attacks are altered around the corresponding chapter's mechanics.

In the Glacier, Greed looks semi the same as he does normally but with an icey pallet.

Behaviour

In the Glacier, Greed no longer summons allies and instead is entirely offence based.

  • Wonders around in straight lines randomly.
  • When Isaac lines up with him cardinally, Greed charges towards him at great speed without warning.
    • Greed can not change directions during this attack.
    • When he collides with an obstacle afterwards, he fires a cone of 3 shots in the opposite direction he charged.
  • Just like regular Greed, any attack from his that hits Isaac will cause him to lose 2-3 coins and drop 1-2 coins on the ground.

Tomb Greed

In the Tomb, Greed appears slightly more battered and torn.

Behaviour

Unlike Glacier Greed, Tomb Greed behaves more like his base path counterpart but with some slight differences to his attacks.

  • Wonders around in straight lines randomly.
  • Occasionally shoots a cone of 3 bullets in the closest cardinal direction towards Isaac.
  • Sometimes pauses to spawn 2 spinning coin entities from the ceiling, similar to that of Ultra Greed.
    • These coins slide towards Isaac to deal contact damage. On death they drop a coin.
  • Tomb Greed can only summon a maximum of 3 spinning coins at once. The pick-ups dropped from the coins count to this factor.

Notes

  • If Greed is killed in any of the Revelation floors, he will drop Bargainer's Burden as a reward.

Trivia

  • The music that plays during Greed's battle in Revelation floors is named Databank.
