Stalagmight is one of the bosses added in Revelations Chapter One, and can be found in Glacier 2. She is a Glacier variant of the base game boss Gurdy. Revelations adds in Health Scaling for their added bosses. Stalagmight's health will be set at the beginning of the fight dependent on whichever number is higher between 325 or the player's damage times 25.

Achievements

  • ChampionsA.png New boss champions - Defeat all bosses in Revelations: Chapter One. (Narcissus isn't required. Punker is, however.)

Behavior

Phase 1

  • Stalagmight starts off the fight by landing from the ceiling at the top of the screen, sending shockwaves out in 4 diagonal directions that travel for a short distance.
  • Occasionally shoots three tears at the player.
  • Fires a large amount of tears at the player (similar to Monstro's main attack) that leave ice creep when landing.
  • Stalactites will occasionally fall down from the ceiling, slowly filling the entire room with ice creep. Ice Creep will continue to spawn from the stalactite until it is broken.
    • Only three stalactites may be active at one time. If another stalactite is spawned when three are already fallen, one of the three existing ones will be destroyed.
  • Occasionally, ice spikes will line the walls of the room, and Stalagmight will try to suck the player towards her.

Phase 2 (starts at under 25% HP)

  • Stalagmight breaks out of her ice, and begins following the player.
  • Occasionally fires a small burst of tears at the player that leave ice creep when landing.
  • Stalactites will occasionally fall down from the ceiling, slowly filling the entire room with ice creep. Ice Creep will continue to spawn from the stalactite until it is broken.
  • Instead of trying to suck the player to him, she will instead blow the player away from her for some time.

Champion Versions

  • Champion: Signified by Stalagmight's ice and ice-based attacks being darker in color. Phase 1 of Stalagmight has all of her attacks from regular Stalagmight, except her 3 tear attack becomes 4 tears and 5 stalactites can be spawned at one time instead of only 3, though they have lower health. She also bounces around the whole room during Phase 1. For Phase 2, she only follows the player, but stalactites are spawned at an increased rate.

Trivia

  • The internal files of Revelations suggest that Stalagmight's name was originally "Stalagmite."
  • The file name for normal Stalagmight is called "bossFrozenGurd2," and is actually found in the file for monsters instead of the file for bosses.
  • Before the release of chapter 2, ice spikes would spawn around the room in phase 2.
